CAROLINA Outdoor Recreation REBRAND
As Creative Director, my class and I were competing with another class (which we ended up winning) to rebrand the Outdoor Education Center in order to increase awareness for their on and off-site programs at both the student, corporate and family levels. Our goal was to provide a consistent design across multiple platforms, strategic advertising through social media, print and video aimed at increasing traffic and revenue and planned events that highlight the facilities capabilities.
Our first step to increasing revenue was creating merchandise that could be sold after and during events as well as used during social media giveaways. I illustrated three posters that I felt fit the feel of our client and their new brand. In addition, I created stickers, t-shirts and a water bottle.
COR did not have a website which was severely limiting their ability to register participants for events and inform past and future visitors. We created a website that was very simple to use, showcased their beautiful facilities and programs, included an events calendar and a new online registration system to streamline the process.
As part of our promotional advertising we created five videos that showcase different facets of COR. Below are two of these videos: one video was taken using GoPro and shows UNC Women's Soccer on a team-building trip, an essential part of COR, and one video of a bachelor party in the tree course.
COR Trail ChAllenge
We decided to plan one large event to be hosted at COR in spring. The COR Trail Challenge is an obstacle course run that takes you across the acreage of the facility. The creative team created a t-shirt, snapchat geotag and social media graphics to be shared in the weeks prior.
