Lennon

I was raised by the four voices of the Beatles but John Lennon was the voice I connected with the most. He represented creativity in its purest form to me. So when I studied abroad in London for six months and one of my classes asked us to pick a prominent British figure to study, I knew that I wanted to uncover what it meant to be Lennon. 

I picked six of his songs across his entire Beatle's career that best show his personal development and created illustrations that match either the mood, message or historical era of the song. Along with the illustrations are a collection of quotes and my writings that provide context to the song's meaning.

I created all my illustrations in Adobe Illustrator and compiled them in InDesign. I won First Place for my illustrations and research in the Society of News Design's international competition.
